Two-Stage Semi-Automatic Mode & Single-Stage FRT® Mode
- Semi-Automatic Mode: In Semi-Automatic mode, the trigger provides two distinct stages during the trigger travel. The first stage, approximately 2.5 lbs of pull weight, can be referred to as “take-up.” The second stage is a crisp “wall” requiring an additional 2 lbs of pressure to break. This results in a very smooth, crisp 4–4.5 lb trigger pull that allows for predictable, controlled, and extremely fast follow-up shots.
- Forced Reset (FRT®) Mode: In FRT® mode, the trigger provides a heavier 5–6 lb single-stage pull weight throughout the entire length of travel.

There’s something really special about seeing a specialized trigger developed specifically for the B&T APC family instead of treating every firearm platform like another AR-15. FRT-AP3 works perfectly in the B&T APC 40 Brazilian contract SBR. The engineering, machining of Rare Breed is the best out there. I can tell you that it is worth the money and does not require a “slip trip” or special machining. I Can’t wait for the B&T APC 223 FRT! Maybe it will be called the FRT-AP223?

My APC9 already had a great trigger but, the two-stage trigger of the AP3 is one helluva upgrade. The trigger pull in standard semi is great and then move the selector to FRT and the trigger is a completely different animal. Having both options in one trigger system makes for a seriously awesome upgrade to my APC.

The AP3 is lit AF. First, I love the selector. The guys did a great job keeping with the B&T look. The two-stage semi-auto trigger is a really nice upgrade all by itself. And the forced reset mode is all fire and brimstone! This trigger was the upgrade that this platform really needed.

Just dropped one in my APC9 and 45. Both ran 100% perfect out of the box. Not a single mishap. I also removed one detent and it smoothed up the selector operation. This makes 5 RB triggers so far, all 100% pure Merica. Can’t wait to see what platform RB comes out with next. TP9 would be sweet.

I dropped this trigger in my B&T APC9SD and doused the bolt with some Lucas CLP spray then fed it mags that it just ate up flawlessly with no hiccups. So if you have a SD variant, this works perfect!

Mine arrived Friday and I installed that night. FRT-SG3 video was handy. My APC9K had detents on both sides, and that gave me some hassle getting the new selector in, so I removed the left one (some guns only have one).
Function check was 100% and I hit the range this morning. It ran flawlessly with zero tuning. It was literally a blast to shoot.
A well engineered product that ran great out of the box.

Holy cow. Truly outstanding on my APC 45. I own several Rare Breed FRTs across multiple guns, but I can honestly say this one impressed me the most on first firing. Usually my first task after FRT install is to tune for reduced rate of fire, but this trigger on my APC is pure stream-of-brass poetry. Rate of fire is fast, but somehow perfect. Controlled bursts of 45 ACP makes me feel like I’m on a SWAT entry team. To the trigger design team – well done!
