FRT-15L3®
Single-Stage (3-Position) Forced Reset Trigger for the AR-15
Take your AR-15 to the next level with the official Rare Breed Triggers FRT-15L3®. This drop-in, duty-grade 3-position Forced Reset Trigger (Safe/Semi/FRT®) is 100% manufactured and assembled in the USA. The FRT-15L3® includes a 3-position ambidextrous safety selector and anti-walk pins for a secure, hassle-free installation.
Performance on the Range
Enhance your shooting experience with the FRT-15L3® Forced Reset Trigger. Designed to accelerate follow-up shots while remaining within legal parameters, the innovative Forced Reset system resets the trigger after each shot, enabling faster, more consistent firing. Each trigger pull fires one round, ensuring full legal compliance while delivering improved speed and performance. Perfect for competitive shooting, tactical training, or maximizing your AR-15’s potential.
Innovative Design and Features
- 3-Position Functionality: The FRT-15L3® features Safe, Semi, and Forced Reset modes, controlled via a 3-position, ambidextrous safety selector. Whether you’re focused on precision shooting or rapid-fire drills, this system adapts to your needs, offering versatility for both left- and right-handed shooters.
- Effortless Installation: Designed for easy installation on MIL-SPEC AR-15 lowers, the FRT-15L3® includes anti-walk trigger pins, providing secure attachment and preventing unwanted movement during extended use. The ambidextrous safety selector seamlessly integrates into any MIL-SPEC lower receiver.
Single-Stage Trigger in Both Operating Modes
- Semi-Automatic Mode: In Semi-Automatic mode, the trigger delivers a consistent, smooth 4–4.5 lb pull weight throughout the entire length of travel, from initial pressure to the break. This single-stage design provides a predictable trigger feel that promotes precise control and extremely fast follow-up shots.
- Forced Reset (FRT®) Mode: In FRT® mode, the trigger maintains the same single-stage characteristic but with a slightly heavier 5.5–6 lb pull weight throughout the full length of travel.
Durable Construction for Long-Lasting Performance
Crafted from high-quality materials, including 7075 anodized aluminum and heat-treated 4140 steel, the FRT-15L3® is built to endure heavy use. This robust construction ensures reliability and longevity, allowing you to push your AR-15 to its limits with confidence.
AR-15 Compatibility
The FRT-15L3® is compatible with MIL-SPEC AR-15 lowers and requires a full-auto-compatible bolt carrier group for proper functionality. For optimal performance, we also recommend using an H2 or H3 buffer, or alternatively, an A5 buffer system. Please note: The FRT-15L3® may not fit in certain Colt models or other lowers with a sear block/shelf.
Unmatched Speed and Control
The FRT-15L3® is ideal for shooters seeking speed and precision. By mechanically resetting the trigger after each shot, then locking the trigger from being pulled until the BCG returns to battery, this system allows for faster follow-up shots without needing advanced techniques. The forced reset mechanism ensures the trigger returns to the non-firing position after each round, requiring the shooter to pull the trigger again, offering full control over each shot.
Why Choose the FRT-15L3® Forced Reset Trigger?
If you’re looking to boost your AR-15’s performance, the FRT-15L3® Forced Reset Trigger is the ultimate upgrade. With its rapid-fire capability, secure anti-rotation design, and seamless compatibility with the AR-15 platform, this trigger provides a superior shooting experience for competition, tactical use, or range drills. Unlock the full potential of your AR-15 with the FRT-15L3®.

Garrett –
If you ask me what I like about the L3, it’s the super smooth pull and the distinct reset. I can feel it clearly, and the break in semi feels like a cracking piece of glass. I really enjoy having this trigger in my AR. The quality is top tier and I have the highest level of confidence knowing this trigger is going to work when I need it to. I’m happy to give Rare Breed all the credit for this one.
Austin –
This was my first Rare Breed trigger, and it made an excellent first impression. I installed it in a Spikes 16″. I tried both but I ended up going with a T3 buffer, which made for a more practical rate than a T2. The trigger has a solid, precise mechanical feel, with a clean break and a reset that is easy to recognize. It is certainly not inexpensive, but the quality and overall feel makes it well worth it. Compared to the factory setup, this feels like a substantial upgrade.
MMorrison –
I was on the fence for a while before finally ordering one, but I’m glad I did. I installed it in an SBR, and the trigger has performed exactly as I hoped. I have about 3,000 rounds through it so far, and the trigger feel has remained consistent. In fact, I would argue it has improved slightly. Semi-auto is smooth and practical for normal shooting, while the third position is fast and fun but still feels controlled. The selector is positive, the fit is excellent, and the entire unit feels well made. I would not hesitate to buy another.
Caid –
Dropped this bad boy into a basic mil-spec AR and it absolutely parties. About 1,500 rounds deep and she’s still running like a cross country state champion. Semi-auto is lit. Crisp pull, clean reset, and none of that mushy nonsense before the break. Then you flip it into FRT mode and it’s time to let the bald eagles fly. Zero chance I’m taking this thing out and that’s what’s up!
Tuck –
I had a hard time deciding between the flat trigger and the standard curved trigger, but in the end I went with old faithful. I installed the curved FRT-15L3 in my Spike’s Tactical 16” mid-length, and I’m glad I did.
The curved trigger feels familiar and comfortable, but the whole setup is a big step up from the standard mil-spec trigger that came with the rifle. The pull is smooth, the reset is crisp, and all three selector positions are positive and easy to find.
And then there’s FRT mode. That’s where the fun really starts. It runs great and puts a big smile on my face every time I dump a mag. And of course, all of my buddies love it. What I like most is that the FRT-15L3 still feels like a quality, dependable trigger first. Nothing about it feels cheap or trashy. It’s well built, mechanically solid, and so far mine has run perfectly without so much as a hiccup.
SLangford –
It is obvious that Rare Breed spent the time to get all of the important details right on this trigger. Semi-auto is . I paired it with a suppressed 300 so much better than I really expected. Because this is an FRT, I kinda figured it would just be fun in FRT mode but boy was I wrong. The third position is quick and a ton of fun, but the second position is top tier, high quality. I was thinking that this trigger would end up living in a cheap range toy but after spending a thousand rounds or so with it, I would now say with complete confidence that this trigger can be trusted in a hard-use, duty-grade rifle. Needless to say, I am impressed.
Carter –
Rare Breed got this one right. Semi-auto feels so freakin clean and predictable, and the third position is lightening quick. Been running it with an H2 and it’s been rock solid. Rare Breed FRT’s have earned a permanent spot in my builds moving forward.
Brody –
First Rare Breed trigger for me, and I’m definitely impressed. The pull in semi is clean, the break is crisp, and the reset is extremely noticeable. It’s exponentially better than a mil-spec trigger and, frankly, better than any other aftermarket trigger I’ve ever run. Given the price, I was a little worried I might end up regretting the purchase, but let me tell you—I’m convinced. Rare Breed FRTs aren’t gimmicky. These are top-tier, high-quality, dependable workhorses.
OLennox –
Installation was extremely easy and one of the first things I noticed was how well the trigger fits in the lower. This particular FRT is installed into a BCM. The semi-auto is genuinely better than damn near anything else out there so needless to say, it is great for normal shooting. I have it matched up with an H2 buffer, and I have not felt a need to change it. It has seen 2,000 rounds so far, and the trigger feel has stayed consistent. The third position is quick, but the trigger still feels controlled. No complaints from me. I’m quite happy with my decision.
Miles V –
Running this in a mil-spec AR-15 and couldn’t be happier. The trigger feels clean, the controls are solid, and after about 3,000 rounds it’s still running like day one. Great quality all around. I’d definitely buy another.
Xavier –
This isn’t my first Rare Breed trigger, so I already knew they made a solid product. I dropped this one into a new build, and so far it’s been rock solid with zero reliability issues. The semi-auto break is beautiful, and the forced-reset mode has a strong, positive reset you can really feel. This one’s legit, and it’s definitely staying in the gun.
Aiden D –
I was curious whether this model would feel different in actual use. Mine is in an HBAR AR-15 build. So far I have run more than 1000 rounds through my rifle without any trigger-related issues. The forced-reset position comes back with a strong, easy-to-feel reset. The semi-auto break is clean and predictable. The normal semi-auto pull is so nice that the third position is not the only reason to like it.
David (verified owner) –
Took some time to do my research on my first FRT. My local gun shop recommended this company so of course did my own research before buying. First thing that caught my eye was how they were the first company making these triggers so I knew they had more of an idea on how to make a reliable trigger. Took about a month before I bought my trigger and it was bought on a Wednesday and came in that following Tuesday.
Took me a total of 10 minutes to install mainly due to removing the old trigger. Went and function tested and everything works great.
Semi auto works fantastic and feels crisp the trigger feels well made and the contour fits well with my finger.
FRT mode feels great I don’t think a smile left my face after the first magazine I shot with it. My rifle is a built out 300 black out and cycling is perfect for a drop in trigger.
I would highly recommend this trigger to anyone looking for quality and functionality over cheap and unreliable. The price range feels fair for the overall quality of the trigger after running 180 rounds during the function test I never had a single issue. 10/10 thanks rare breed!!
Jimmy C –
I have three of these triggers and I’ve had no issues with any of them. Great quality materials as well and easy to install. All of my ARs are A1 & A2 retro builds,so I have to say that I’m not a fan of the selector. But they now offer a correct mil spec selector that I’ve purchased to replace them with. And they are awesome as well. I’m hoping we can get these triggers with the mil spec selector as a standard offering instead of buying them separately.
I would love to see it made to use mil spec trigger & hammer pins also. But that’s because I’m a retro AR fan. Or should I say nerd. But either way, the RB triggers for the ARs are the best. And I highly recommend them to anyone in the market for a FRT.
K9kmsev (verified owner) –
I currently have an FRT-15L3 installed in three different firearms; a Daniel Defense PCC SBR, a DDM4 PDW SBR running a white spring/H1 buffer, and a custom 11.5″ CMMG/DD running a Geissele Super 42 spring/H3 buffer. They all run flawlessly in both SA and FRT. I recently purchased a competitor’s simpler design FRT but found it to not function reliably, so now it sits in a drawer. This fourth FRT-15L3 purchase is for a custom CMMG/PSA .300 Blackout SBR truck gun. Thanks for making a quality FRT trigger system. Every AR owner should have at least one.
Robert –
Ordered, received and installed in my AR. Installed & function tested within 30 minutes. Live fire tested today and ran flawless with an H2 Buffer. Will change to an H3 to try to control the rise a bit easier
Dave –
The Rare Breed FRT triggers are the best! I have two and I am buying a third real soon. Get one — you’ll love it! Once you shoot it you’ll want one in every build.
Tommy W –
I bought this trigger because it was drop-in change your buffer and no funny business kinda forced reset trigger. This trigger is the real deal. I ran about 3000 rounds and wow — I’m blown away by how much torture this trigger and my gun held up to. This is not a gimmick product. When I did my first mag dump I was jaw dropped realizing did that just happen. Oh yeah it did happen. I am beyond happy. Rare Breed is the only name in FRTs. Full stop.
Robert –
Buy with confidence. It just works. Dropped right in and worked flawlessly on the very first shot. I was running an EPC 9mm build and an AR-15 — heavier buffers put in and they run great. Only great things to say and the smiles these bring are hard to hide. Just hoping for an AR-10 compatible version someday.
Samuel G –
This FRT is 10 out of 10. I will 100% buy again. It is the most fun with a gun I have ever had. Very quick and easy installation. Make sure you have an H2 or H3 buffer to try when it shows up. Once you feel forced reset mode for the first time, you’ll be planning your next build around the FRT-15L3 before you even finish your first magazine. Rare Breed is the real deal.
Cody –
This Rare Breed FRT is simply the cat’s ass. Installed it in my fav SBR and that third click just ugga duggas all day long. I have zero issues spending money on more of these. Rare Breed makes the most fun trigger on the planet. Don’t overthink it. Just buy it.
Dylan –
Did 14 years in the Army and I know what a good trigger feels like. The FRT-15L3 in semi-auto genuinely performs better than any mil-spec trigger and damn near any aftermarket trigger I have ever run. Rare Breed has my full endorsement. 10/10.
Eli –
Installed the FRT-15L3 in my Springfield SAINT. Had to swap buffers but boy does it run hard! The standard semi-auto is a massive upgrade over the factory SAINT trigger. And FRT mode is awesome! Thank you Rare Breed!
Marcus T –
I was skeptical about the price until I installed the FRT-15L3 and ran it. Now I completely understand. The FRT-15L3 is a precision-engineered product that performs exactly as advertised. The knock-offs just don’t come anywhere close. They simply aren’t even in the same universe. The Rare Breed FRT’s are worth every penny!
FM –
Just finished my second build around an FRT-15L3. Super happy with the first and had to pick up a second. I’m eye balling the FRT-15C3 as a possible third.
Ivan –
I recently ran the FRT-15L3 through a two-day carbine class. Over those two days I went through 1200 rounds. I did happed to experience a few malfunctions over those two days but I do not believe any were related to the trigger. I really enjoyed running the L3 in this class. It performed exceptionally well and it was noted by many of the other students. The FRT-15L3 is a legit, high-quality, duty-grade trigger. This trigger sells itself the moment someone shoots it. Rare Breed is the undisputed standard.
Zack –
I’ve already picked up 3 Rare Breed triggers and I am sure there will be more. My first one took a bit of learning but now that I’ve got a good understanding on the way they operate, I have no problems at all. I couldn’t be happier with my decision to use Rare Breed FRTs in all of my rifles. Awesome!
Trent –
I love my FRT-15L3! FRT mode is a completely different animal than anything else I’ve ever shot. It’s so fast but also smooth. Excellent Trigger. Will recommend to everyone I know.
Garrett –
Running the FRT-15L3 in my 300 Blackout pistol. Had to adjust the gas but since then it has run 100 percent. FRT mode in 300 BLK suppressed is an experience I can’t really put into words. Well, I can def put into words how expensive it is to run 300 BLK in FRT mode. Regardless, it’s just so much fun!
Devin –
Bought my first FRT-15L3 after months of reading forum posts and watching every YouTube review I could find. The FRT-15L3 has so many good reviews but I wasn’t prepared for how good it actually is in person. Dropped into a Spikes Tactical build with A5 buffer system. No tuning needed at all — ran 100% from the very first magazine. Best trigger I’ve ever purchased.
Cole T –
Just crossed the 1500 round mark with my FRT-15L3 and it runs even better than it did when it was new. I feel like it got smoother and smoother over the first few hundred rounds. I freaking love this thing. Rare Breed is putting out the best there is!
Hunter K –
I installed the Rare Breed FRT in my SBR’d Noveske. It needed a bit of tuning but now it runs 100%. I am extremely happy with my purchase and plan to buy more in the future.
Aaron –
Bought my first FRT-15L3 a couple weeks ago. Installation was easy but it wouldn’t run at my first attempt. I reached out to RBT customer service for help. After helping me trouble shoot, it was discovered that I had a semi-auto BCG installed. I swapped to a full-auto carrier and it ran like a machine on my first attempt. I am so happy!.
Patrick –
This is my second FRT-15L3 and it is just as flawless as the first one. 2000 rounds in and zero malfunctions thus far. The single-stage pull is butter. In FRT mode this gun screams. I love how people at the range stop everything to watch.
Marcus W –
Finally did it. Dropped the FRT-15L3 into my BCM. FRT mode is absolutely addicting. There is one name in forced reset triggers and it is Rare Breed. Period.
Randy (verified owner) –
Five stars! The FRT-15L3 is all I hoped for! Excellent! I installed it in my suppressed 300 BO AR 15 and it runs perfectly! Thank you RBT!
Zac –
Highly recommended! Very nice! I own 2 now and never a single problem. Fun and flawless. Worth every penny!
Dillon –
This is my first FRT after a few years of watching from the sidelines. To be honest, I had been concerned with the legality. After learning about Rare Breed’s legal ruling and their settlement with the government, I finally felt comfortable taking the plunge. The FRT-15L3 is everything people say it is. Install was easy. Took me about 20 minutes. The FRT-15L3 def isn’t a novelty or gimmick. You can tell they put some real thought and attention into the design and development. Semi-auto feels better than most triggers on the market and forced reset mode is ridiculous. Rare Breed is the real deal.
Jared –
Running the flat variant of the FRT-15L3 in my AR pistol. Swapped out my carbine buffer for an H2 and it runs like greased lightening. The flat trigger was a great choice. I really like the way it feels. FRT mode is so much fun! Rare Breed earns a perfect 5 stars on this one!
Nathaniel C –
Just crossed 2,000 rounds on my FRT-15L3 and had to come back and leave a review. I could not be any happier with this FRT. Running it in a BCM with H2 buffer and adjustable gas block. Semi-auto was great on day one but it’s gotten even better with time. FRT mode is still as addicting as the first time. The build quality on this trigger is clearly built to last. Thank you Rare Breed.
Kenneth G. Kelly, Sr. (verified owner) –
I dropped mine in a few days ago (installation is about as simple as you can get) and finally shot the rifle today with an H2 buffer. The rifle (M4 style – 16” barrel) ran flawlessly with IMI M855 ammo. This is undoubtedly the best FRT on the market. I’ll be buying more…
Caleb –
Got my FRT-15L3 installed in my Springfield Saint last month. Started with an H2 and felt that it ran a little fast for my linking. Swapped to H3 buffer and now it runs like a dream. Over 800 rounds without a single failure across Federal XM193, PMC Bronze, and some cheap reloads. The semi-auto mode is one of the best feeling triggers I have used on an AR, and forced reset mode is def all the rage. If you have been considering one, stop thinking and just buy it. You will not regret it.
Travis M –
This is my fourth Rare Breed FRT and each one has been flawless. FRT-15L3 installed in my newest build — a 16″ rifle-length PSA with an H2 buffer. Ran 1,000 rounds last weekend alone without a single malfunction. Forced reset mode on a longer barrel and rifle-gas system is incredibly smooth and controllable. With a bit of tuning, I can hold tight groups at 50 yards in FRT mode. Best trigger investment for the AR platform, hands down.
JohnnyOTC –
I’ve been following Rare Breed Triggers and the forced reset trigger industry for years, and one thing has always stood out to me: when the government came after forced reset triggers, Rare Breed was the only company willing to put everything on the line to fight back.
Most people don’t realize what was at stake. Rare Breed wasn’t simply defending a product. They were risking their entire business, their personal assets, their reputations, and their freedom. A sentence against Mr. DeMonico and Mr. Maxwell would have assuredly resulted in decades of prison time. It would have been much easier to walk away, shut down, or surrender. Instead, they spent four years and many millions of dollars fighting for what they believed was right.
That fight ultimately resulted in a landmark ruling from Judge Reed O’Connor in the Northern District of Texas, who ruled that forced reset triggers are legal semi-automatic triggers. While that litigation was ongoing, Rare Breed was simultaneously defending itself against the DOJ and ATF in cherry picked court in the Eastern District of New York, facing enormous pressure from the federal government. Most companies or individuals would never have survived that kind of attack.
What frustrates me today is seeing other companies and individuals that took none of those risks acting as though they are somehow entitled to the market that Rare Breed fought so hard to create. While others were sitting on the sidelines waiting to see how everything played out, Rare Breed was spending years in court and millions of dollars defending both its products and the future of forced reset trigger technology.
Just as importantly, Rare Breed didn’t merely fight legal battles. They continued innovating. Today, Rare Breed has accumulated 15 issued patents covering forced reset trigger technology and related innovations. As far as I know, no other company has a single issued patent covering true forced reset trigger technology. That’s an incredible accomplishment considering the legal and regulatory challenges they faced while continuing to invent, develop, and protect new technology.
As for the products themselves, I’m a believer. I currently own five FRT-15L3 triggers, and every one of them has performed exceptionally well. The FRT-15L3 remains one of my favorite upgrades for the AR-15 platform. I’ve recommended them to friends, family members, and fellow shooters, and I’ll continue doing so. The quality, performance, and innovation speak for themselves.
More importantly, whenever someone asks me about Rare Breed Triggers, I find myself telling the story of what Mr. DeMonico and Mr. Maxwell went through. To me, it feels like a modern-day David versus Goliath story. A small company stood up to some of the most powerful forces in the world, refused to back down, and ultimately prevailed after years of fighting. Whether someone agrees with every business decision Rare Breed has made or not, it’s hard not to respect that level of determination and commitment.
I firmly believe that companies that develop technology, secure patents, and spend years defending those inventions deserve to benefit from their success. Intellectual property rights are provided for in Article I, section 8 of the United States constitution and they exist for a reason. Rare Breed didn’t inherit this market. They created it, defended it, patented it, and helped ensure that forced reset triggers remained available for law-abiding Americans.
The simple reality is that no other company was willing to take the risk, spend the money, or fight the fight. They earned their place in this industry through innovation, sacrifice, persistence, and determination. In my opinion, Rare Breed deserves the opportunity to enjoy the rewards of the market they created. I’ll continue supporting them, recommending their products, and sharing their story whenever anyone is willing to listen.

Of all my FRT’s, I’ve been running the FRT-15L3 the longest, and at this point it’s become my old faithful. My L3 is installed in a Noveske 10″ SBR, and it has thousands of rounds through it without missing a beat. The reliability, consistency, and overall shooting experience has been outstanding.
What I really love about the FRT-15L3 is the crisp single-stage trigger pull. It feels predictable and clean every time, whether I’m shooting drills, training, or just spending a day at the range. The three-position selector gives me the flexibility I want, and the trigger has proven itself over and over again.
I’ve owned and shot a lot of AR-15 triggers over the years, and the Rare Breed Triggers FRT-15L3 remains one of the best upgrades I’ve ever made to an AR platform. If you’re looking for a reliable forced reset trigger with a fantastic trigger pull and proven durability, the FRT-15L3 is hard to beat.
Nick F –
AMAZING!!!! Has to be the best FRT on the market. It works flawlessly when running an H2 buffer for me. Buying another one today. Just a blast to use. Super well built and can see this thing lasting forever. Its amazing how well it works. Thanks Rare Breed!!!
Nicholas klang (verified owner) –
Well boys… I’ll tell ya, the FRT-15L3 trigger is simply the cats ass. I literally installed it in a stock Springfield saint and that third click does nothing but ugga dugga. I have no issue spending the money for 5 more.
Dave T. (verified owner) –
The Rare Breed FRT triggers are the best!
I have two and I am buying a third real soon…
Get one, you’ll love it!
Robert (verified owner) –
This trigger is so good. It was super easy to install. My only issue is that it seemed to be a little picky about what the full-auto bolt carrier I use but overall it’s phenomenal. The rate of fire is fast enough to turn head at any range. 10 out of 10. I would recommend.
BAB –
This is a fantastic trigger system. I’ve tried it out on a lower I milled myself in not the most professional looking manner, and finally put it into a dedicated build on a high-mid-end commercial receiver, and it functions flawlessly in both with no tuning or messing around needed.
So far I’ve run it in a full 20-inch M16A1 parts kit build with 55 grain M193, and a 16-inch carbine with 62 grain M855 Green Tip and had no malfunctions at all tied to the trigger. It trucks along in both semi and forced reset. Whatever you set it to, it does, and I couldn’t want anything more than that.
Worth every penny, I’m definitely looking at a second one.
JBB –
You guys are the OG forced reset trigger company! Not only are you the first, your FRT’s are the best! You guy brought the first FRT to market, drew a line in the sand, stood your ground against government overreach, and prevailed! You and your team deserve the best and I wish nothing but the best for you all. Keep on crushing it by bringing new FRT models to market!
Dan (verified owner) –
I bought this trigger a few months ago to run in my FM45, it worked flawlessly. I tried a different companies frt for my AR and nothing but problems. Needless to say I have another rare breed on the way for it also.. this trigger is amazing!
Brando-Commando –
This is a great trigger. Installed in a DD MK18 Pistol suppressed. The single shot selection is a much better trigger pull over a mil spec, it feels amazing compared to mil spec. This is the best upgrade for a Daniel Defense rifle because it cleans up the trigger pull (unless you like a mil spec) and also has the additional selection that all guns should have. A way to shoot single shot faster and pull the trigger every time. You can’t lose with these triggers. Instead of buying quality guns with enhanced triggers, I’d buy quality guns without enhanced triggers and put this in it. Daniel Defense is exactly that. Perfect but the trigger sucks. High quality but mil spec and unsatisfactory for the price. Rare breed has the solution.
My only complaint is that the anti-walk pins have a little walk side to side but are retained by the set screws and don’t cause any problems. And in my build, I can’t get the upper receiver to close completely without a dental pick tool. That’s frustrating but what you get overall is worth it. I still give it 5 stars. I bought two already and am likely buying a third. And Rare Breed is NOT a scam site, I almost got caught up in one of those. You buy from Rare Breed and can expect it to ship immediately and arrive in a few days. No weird bullshit when checking out and paying. Do it! You won’t regret it!
Big G –
I bought this trigger because it was drop in, change your buffer, and no funny business kinda forced reset trigger. This trigger is the real deal. Buy this god-da** trigger now. It is absolutely beautiful. I ran about 3,000 rounds and wow! I’m blown away how much torture this trigger and my gun held up to. This is not a gimmick product. When I did my first mag dump, I was jaw dropped realizing, “did that just happen?!?!” Oh yeah, it did happen. I am beyond happy. To all the haters, just say you are poor and can’t afford a $500 trigger, LOL I can taste the tears of the whiny babies who can’t afford the luxury of a drop in FRT this beautiful. This is the Cadillac of FRTs and I can honestly say that I’m so happy with it. My friend bought the FRT-RD3 for his VP5 / MP5 clone and he has nothing but beautiful harmonious semi-full-auto. This trigger made me love my AR 10,000,000 times more. If anyone asks me anything FRT, I’m sending them to Rare Breed every single time. I work at a gun store as a firearm instructor, so I see a lot of people. If anyone asks, Rare Breed FRT’s are the only way to go.
“If you hate rarebreed, just say you can’t afford it instead”

The FRT-15L3 preforms flawlessly In function and fit! Quality crafted! This is not some cheap gimmick! Their customer service is also top notch! I plan to buy more!
Brian –
I finally got to try my FRT-15L3 today in my 10.5 SBR and it ran great. In forced reset mode, I was able to get singles, controlled pairs, and 3 round bursts with no problems. And of course, the ubiquitous mag dumps went off without a hitch. In standard semi-auto the trigger was light and crisp, almost indistinguishable from my match trigger. I will buy more.

Awesome trigger! The trigger pull is crisp and not too heavy and the forced reset mode is so much fun! The trigger was super simple to install. Figured I’d need a new BCG and heavier buffer but it works flawlessly in my stock Springfield saint. 10 outa 10! I would def recommend!

Finally got my first FRT-15L3 installed. Went in easy and after one retune on the gas system it works flawlessly. Love the 3 position safety. I will definitely be installing more FRTs in my other AR’s.

The Rare breed FRT-15L3 is a 10/10 product. Truely an experience! If you’re considering buying an FRT, definitely pull the trigger on this one.

I purchased an FRT-15L3 and installed it on a PSA 9mm AR. It has a heavy buffer and has been shot many times. This thing is so much fun to shoot and runs perfectly with the FRT. If you’re thinking about one, just get it! You will be amazed!

I am building a 5.56 – 16 inch rifle with the Rare Breed Trigger and using a Velos LBP 556 suppressor 5.98 inches (long version), shooting 55 grain FMJ rounds, which Buffer weight should I use? H2 or H 3 ? I do have a full auto rated BCG. Which Buffer brand would you recommend?
Thank you.

Once I upgraded to an H3 buffer my rifle has run flawlessly, can’t wait for an AR-10 trigger!

10 out of 10 product! I will 100% buy again. It is the most fun with a gun I have ever had. Very quick and easy installation. Make sure you have an H2 or H3 buffer weight so it run smoothly.

I bought 1 and I loved it so much I went and bought a 2nd one. I will definitely buy more just for the pure value of them. They are amazing, work flawlessly and for a great price.
If you experience issues with the fitment of your FRT in your AR, you may have to get a different bolt carrier. The standard 556 Saint bolt carrier does not fit. The MK18 Daniel Defense fit as expected.

Flawless. Works great, very smooth, and fast! Extremely well designed and built. Easy to install and a joy to shoot. Thanks for a great product! I’m very happy and would recommend in a heartbeat.

I use this trigger in my truck/competition rifle. Not exactly a match trigger that I’m use but still very usable and forgiving and still precise in single.
I use a JP Enterprises Silent Capture heavy recoil buffer assembly and my rifle runs flawlessly in “Full Send”… from factory 55gr Rem or NATO up 75gr Rem or NATO to include my personal pet loads from 55gr up to 75gr.
Top it off with a VG6 Gamma muzzle brake, this whole setup is incredible.
Never was one for the AR platform, but getting into 2-gun and now this… thinking about my next build.

So good I put them on all my guns! This is a quality product, and now I have a bunch of removed Geisseles lol.

Buy with confidence. It just works. Dropped right in and worked flawlessly.

Four or five years ago I put the gen 1 rare breed frt-15 in an AR-9 SBR and it ran flawlessly. Cheaper to run 9 mm than 5.56. I did change the buffer and buffer spring. Just purchased a new Rare Breed trigger, which makes my 4th. Love them!

Starting off this was my first FRT and it’s an awesome drop in trigger group, it took maybe 10-15 minutes from disassembly to test firing. Test firing went smoothly and is one of the most fun firearms I own.

Great trigger! Need some stickers!

I have this in an EPC 9mm build I completed, and in a AR-15, heavier buffers put in and they run great! Only great things to say and the smiles these bring are hard to hide! Just hoping for a AR-10 compatible version. Thank you for the great quality and fun range days.

I got one of these in my SBR lower and my rifle lower. I have the rifle lower in my Scy bullpup kit and it works flawlessly. Both i use frequently for range days!I really like shooting my 450 bushmaster bullpup FRT its just to much fun! I got a psa 9mm upper for the sbr and I’ve never went through 9mm that fast. Definitely gonna have to order the flat trigger for another build. Only thing could be better is a sticker!

Can’t recommend this FRT enough. Drops right in for an easy install. FRT chugs all kinds of bullets. Great product!

I have the first version that’s still running like a top and I have two FRT-15L3 and they run flawless!!!!!!!
Mark J –
Absolutely love it! Easy installation and great at the range!! Will be buying more.
Mathew Cimo –
Trigger is awesome, in both selections. Semi is super crisp and consistent, and forced reset has been working flawlessly.
John W –
Great build quality, easy install and does everything as described. 2000+ rounds not a single malfunction. Going to get another Soon! Thanks
John Joyce –
My second try at an FRT. First try was from a Utah company, trigger malfunctioned and would fire 2 rounds in single shot mode. fortunately a good company so they refunded my full purchase price.
Rare Breed FRT-15L3 has performed flawlessly.
Well over 1000 rounds through the gun with this trigger.
I’m running an H4 buffer in this AR-15, also an HBAR barrel.
Gun runs fine with an H2 but so fast I have trouble fighting the barrel rise with sustained fire. Zero FTF or misfires, a number of different 556, 223 ammo makers all feed and fire without issue.
There are many pretender companies out there with similar names and web addresses, make sure you get the official site at RareBreedTriggers.com
